WPA now?

Postby hguzman » Mon Jun 30, 2003 8:17 pm

Has anyone got WPA working? I have the XP WPA update
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=009D8425-CE2B-47A4-ABEC-274845DC9E91&displaylang=en
and a Linksys AP with the WPA update,
http://www.linksys.com/download/firmware.asp?fwid=178
but I still am out of luck. I guess I need to buy a Linksys WPA capable wireless card or wait until WPA firmware updates become available for my Orinoco Silver or Cisco 352 card. Or am I missing something?

Yes, you need a WPA upgraded card, such as the Linksys WPC11v3 or WPC54G.

sorry to bump the old thread but i have gotten wpa support (actually not sure if it works because i dont have a wpa ap) on a prism2 by installing the latest wpc11v3 wpa drivers. it still has an old 2.0 driver in there as well as 2.5 (which is compatible with 3 anyway)
