Hi All,
This is my first complete setup and is what I use for wardriving (Surveying only, I'm no thief!) - intersuburb link testing for corporate office links, testing my corporate network security and cracking it, finding rouge AP's (None so far) and self education. One of the things I haven't seen much in other peoples setup's is the FM Transmitter. To turn off the NS0.4.0 Audio Feedback, all you need to do is mute your car stereo. Recommended! Hardware: Dell 1.7 P-M/512 DDR Dell 1450 - 802.11a/b/g Onboard Netgear WG511T - 802.11 108Mbit Super G PCMCIA - External Antenna Modded USB 802.11B 200mw with External Antenna Rikaline Bluetooth GPS 8dBi Omni Antenna Nokia 6230 - Bluetooth (Web connection) FM Transmitter (Transmit to car stereo, Allows quick and easy muting if pulled over by LEO's) 600W 12V to 240V Power Inverter (allows multiple devices, 10 Laptops?) Vehicle: 1989 Mitsubishi Magna Station Wagon Phat 4" Blower After Market Fog Lights 6 Speaker Spilt stereo Air Conditioning 4 Wheel Disk Brakes Power Steering Mag Wheels Double Bed Reading lamps for every passenger (very useful for lighting keyboards) Software: Netstumbler 0.4.0 (Awesome Stumbling software) GPS Utility 4.15.5 Licensed (Great GPS mapping Software) Ethereal 0.10.7 (Capture and analyse network packets) IP-Tools 2.5.0 (Various IP Utilities) Airdump (Collecting packets) Aircrack (Cracking WEP Keys) Angry IP Scanner 2.21 (Quickly scan IP Ranges - B class in <12 Mins = >90 IP's/second) WPA Cracking tool from miniPEAP (Crack WPA Security) Knoppix STD (Woah, what can I say? Incredible stuff!!!!) Building: Cantenna biquad I plan to have a large dish made, maybe 3m diameter? roof mounted on a nice pivot tripod and driven with a biquad. (a big plan, but I will be living in cambodia and labour is cheap. also, we have the highest roof for a long distance so I should be able to scope the whole city from there.) I am importing 3 N Type female surface mounts, I hope this will be enough. I hope you like! constructive critacism would be cool. Also happy to answer any questions. See images. ...and you might want to re-familiarize yourself with post #6 in THIS thread. I know you've heard from Thorn AGAIN about large images so make NO mistakes about it, you're on extremely thin ice.
