Where did you get the mount for the iPAQ? Did you make it? Details please. I need something for my iPAQ unit while WarDriving.

Basically its a plastic sleeve that the iPaq slots in to, which provides you with a pcmcia slot which takes the Orinoco card.
Its the black plastic bit at the back of the iPaq.

Hehe, its rather crude. Its 2 pieces of steel I found in a drawer at work, they are just screwed straight in to my dash board at the right distance apart to grip the pcmcia sleeve. Friction stops it
slipping right through.

I've probably got a couple spare, if you were in the UK I would post them to you.

Thank you for the offer, but I am way over here... anyway I will stop by the hardware store this weekend and take my iPAQ and see if I can find something similar.. I also want to mount it to a big suction cup thing somehow since I don't like anything sitting on my dash, and I want it a little more portable... thanks for the idea

It looks like a 3.5 to 5.25 HD bracket. You might want to see if you could use one of those. Just a thought.

Thank you sir... I will try that as well I want to pad the inside a little bit so I dont' scratch up the outer screen protector, so roomy would be nice.

Thats it! spot on. It came out of the drawer marked "Hard disk hardware"

I was in a rush to mount it to the dashboard, given time I'm sure
I could have come up with a more elegant setup.
However it does the job!
