Could you PLEASE tell us about the Tripmate hack you performed? How applicable would it be to the Earthmate?

I'm running a Dell Latitude CPi (P2-266), with a Dell-rebadged Orinoco Gold card, Hyperlinktech 3dbi mobile antenna, and a Garmin eMap. The eMap gets power from the cigarette lighter, the laptop runs off battery power.

The Boblbee backpack

sweet backpack, I thought my targus was expensive... 250$USD
I have been interested to get one of these, though if you can answer these questions it would help my decision:

-is it comfortable for long hauls?

-can you carry this onto a plane (even nowadays), and consider it a carry-on? or is it too large?

-did you pick yours up at a retail store? if so, which one?

Thanks

Very comfortable.

I haven't tried yet, I'll let you know at the end of this month. I'm going to Vegas...

Nope, I got it on Ebay for $100US w/ shipping (Brand new). I was going to buy it from these guys : link

Thanks
Also worth of noting, Boblbee claims you can't fit a laptop wider than 10" in the laptop compartment. My Toshiba is 11.6" and it fits (be it tight, I like tight)

Be careful

Hey fellas, be careful.. With all the war and heighten security be careful when aiming your yagi or cantenna around. You may get picked up for looking like a terrorist with a rocket launcher..

Be safe...
