Next you need to hook up an antenna. The connector is a Orinoco, Lucent, etc. So you will either need one of their antennas or a pig tail to adapt another antenna (pringles can, yagi, etc.). Here are a couple "example" links: http://www.fab-corp/k1.htm http://www.fab-corp/I1.htm Later, -Jay |

Are the little antennas that screw into the WL110 card worth it?
Or are you better off getting a pigtail/antenna combo? I guess what I am asking is " is what you would gain from using the little screw in job even worth it?" Where do you get these things anyway, I tried at compaq but could not find them listed as an accessory, would lucent/orinoco be an option since they seem to make the cards for Compaq? Thanks! eamonn |

There aren't any "screw in" type antennas that will work with the Orinoco/Lucent/Avaya/Compaq/Etc. cards without the use of the pigtail. You will need a pigtail to use an external antenna or you will need an antenna with the small Orinoco connector on it such as the Orinoco/Lucent Range Extender antenna which has the small "snap in" connector. You can get the pigtails from Fab-corp. Fab-Corp Web Site Hopefully this will help. Jay |
