Whoa !!!

Heh - have you thought about a bulletproof vest and armoured vehicle?

I can think of a few people taking 'active' countermeasures if they spot you pointing that thing at their building....

Cheers,

Mother

The handle was made by my father's manufacturing company. He sells them for M16s they run about $65 bucks I believe. The handle was attached to the mounting hardware that YDI sent with the purchase of the yagi. We just milled off the 45 degree angles to make it a flat plate and mounted the rail on to the plate.

As far as being shot at I doubt it but I can attest to the fact that when we are wardriving and near a street people slow down cause they think we are police with a radar gun. Provides mild entertainment and a bit of a public service if you think about it.

prophet,
In looking at the pictures, I noticed that the handle is about 45 to 90 degrees off center from the handle- it is had to tell the exact angle. Assuming that you're holding the handle upwrite, it may be degrading the amount of signal you are receiving. Just FYI.

depending on the polarization of the target antenna, i've found that orienting the probe horizontally or vertically usually gives optimal gain.
