Its not quite finished, but I'm sure the guys at circuit city wouldn't mind if I plugged it into one of their TV's to show you

Well after playing around with this thing for a while, I decided to take it apart. I still haven't been able to get a 12v display, so it's still being plugged into mains. Figured I'd throw in a real logic board in. I pulled the board out of my gaming machine, it's a two year old shuttle type board. Has an AMD processor, and I think 1.5 gigs of ram. I'll post up new pics once I figure out where everything is going to be laid out.

That's pretty slick dave. I haven't really been driving that much since gas went through the roof. Though I filled up today at $1.84 a gallon, not too shabby! I'm working on putting external antenna on my eeepc for a general backtrack/wardriving rig. I still have "The Box", but it's really not that portable. I need to find a better screen that's cheap enough that I don't mind too much if I kill it.

Seriously though the link was bad. Great looking box. I have been tinkering with the laptop again. Put Ubuntu 8.10 on it and making my way to getting Kismet back on it.

@Barry

Man gas is getting cheap up there. This little town I live near it's still hovering around 2.29. Hopefully it will keep dropping. It does feel good to get a full tank out of a 50.00 bill again.

I might be able to afford some tires now.

We're currently about the most expensive in the nation, according to the local news. I filled up yesterday at $2.46/gallon and that was the best deal in the metro area. Most other station were $2.49-2.59 for regular.

My current wardriving rig is an eee running with a drone WRT54G. The drone is running a 7dB mag mount.

Got you all beat
Northwest Arkansas $1.79 a gallon and having a price decrease almost twice a week. I haven't seen it this low in years.

<Bad sarcasm> (Since I'm here in the office after requesting the day off.)
And everyone said that going over and kicking some ass wasn't worth it.
</Bad sarcasm>

I predict right now that before Obama's first year is out there will be some reporter that makes the statement that Obama was the one that brought the gas prices down.
