Helloooo
I'm using a rather slick Toshiba Tecra which I found from work after someone had been using it as a doorstop for around 5 years. It is a P133 with 16mb of ram, and I can tell you all envy me. It is powered by coal too, which i tow on a trailor behind my car. I have found a grand total of 0 APs mostly due to the fact that my wireless card hasn't arrived yet. Wishing you happy stumbling. Its a well known fact that the speed of a wardrivers laptop is based not on non-sense like CPU speed or levels of RAM, but stickers.
Top wardrivers have cool stickers. Here is my laptop, it fals down because it doesn't have any "hacker" or "wardriver )(" stickers - these are hard things to come by in the UK. I have, however, purchased this sticker to replace the 2 you currently see. ![]()

My lappy is not setup yet. I have a Dell 8600 with a Pentium M 1.4GHz w/ 512MB DDR and 128MB NV5650 Video. I opted for the 15.4 WSXGA and a 60GB HD. To bad it only has the Intel Pro Wireless 2100 3A card installed. I need to find a card that works under both Windows and Linux if possible.

I love my 8600. The way I see it, I use the integrated Intel for surfing while I am at the house and what not, and I use the TrueMobile 1150 (which I got before I had the 8600) for NS and Kismet and the like.

Currently I am using a Dell Latitude CPxJ P3 650 and a Blitzz BWP612 card.Looking to get an Orinco card soon enough, but what I have works for now.Only other thing I want is a Laptop mount for my pickup to set next to the CB/Scanner/Beartracker/ICOM 207 radio stack I have on the "hump"(Deputy Sheriff's use them for theirs).I think they have them at Gall's(Public Safety equip.co.)But it would let me see the setup and safely drive as well.I saw as well a 400 watt inverter at Lowe's for $29.95.They also had a 70 watt all in one unit that plugged into the lighter/power port for $21.95,but I wouldn't use that.Better to go with the 400.

Got the gps to finally talk to my Itronix last night!! So now I'm using an Itronix 6250+ modified with an internal oem Orinoco silver card. I attached that to a bulkhead N connector to connect to a "high flex" LMR-400 jumper and my home made omni. Pictures will be up later today.
