My iPaq H3830 and P2110 stumbler rigs
I will post a link to where the pics are since I don't remember how big they are allowed to be.
The iPaq H3830 running Mini-Stumbler CF sleeve for Linksys wcf12 PCMCIA/HiCap battery sleeve for Senao ext2 Serial adaptor cable for iPaq 1 powered/1 non-powered gps to serial cables Fujitsu P2110 Crusoe (POS) 866Mhz processor 512 Meg O' RAM Internal WiFi works with Netstumbler as well as the Senao Here are some pics of the setup, seems to work great. I just got the iPaq up and running with GPS and seems to be identical NS1 files from my laptop. http://www.signalseekers.net/WarRigs/ Justin |

Nice setup. Might I suggest investing in a better antenna? You'll find many more APs.

The great folks at Fab-Corp will add the NS discount when they get to filling out your order and it will show on the invoice you receive. Mention the NS forums when ordering online. The discount won't be shown immediately so don't worry.

be resourceful, make your own antenna
I didn't know about that NS discount at FabCorp, thats pretty cool of them, however I've never ordered anything from them either. check out my post under another thread my wardriving rig
about a page down. It shows my antenna as well as the custom made swivel mount bracket I designed for it. Or check out www.gumph.org for a very simple and easy to build a omnidirectional colinear dipole. You can probably build this one for under $10 in parts and the time to do it, i built mine in about an hour. Or if you were so inclined I might be able to build you one for under $50, (MrWrecked chuckles softly ). |
