My Wardriving Setup
HP Pavilion zt1130 1.13 GHz Celeron 256MB RAM 20GB HDD WinXP Home
1990 Chevy Silverado Pickup Delorme Earthmate USB GPS using USB to serial drivers Linksys WPC11 v3 PCMCIA Fellowes Power Inverter With this setup, I have found 400+ APS within a 5 mile radius to my house. The Linksys, as everyone knows, doesn't have an external antenna jack; which makes me wonder how many more APS I may find if I had an Orinoco Gold Classic with an external antenna. I'm in an average town in central Jersey. I would like to meet up with other wardrivers close to me to compare finds. |

Updated stumbling setup
I've replaced the old HP laptop with a new HP laptop. The new one is a Pavilion dv1220us with a 1.5 GHz centrino, 512 MB DDR RAM, and 100 GB hard drive. I've also replaced the Linksys card with an ORiNOCO Gold. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get my DeLorme USB GPS to work with either the Knoppix or Knoppix-STD live CDs.
