The issue is that most people read all of the posts made on these forums, so when a new post is made, it's kind of annoying to find out it's not actually new, but the same message for the third time.
Plus it's against forum ettiquette.

You should be able to find those other antenna books at any Ham Radio store. Ham Radio Outlet (www.hamradio.com) usually has a ton of books in stock. They have locations throughout the US. They do most of their sales via catalog and web. Also Amatuer Electronic Supply (www.aesham.com) is another resource.

HA I just went through a PA State Police DUI checkpoint with all my war driving gear in the back seat. That was fun to explain.
Cop: So, any drinks tonight? (shining flashlight into backseat) Me: Nope, just dinner. Cop: Wow that's alot of computer stuff.. Me: Work... What can you do.... ok it was dumb. |

I can't do a laptop in the front seat, but I can swing a PDA. After my accident with the 18 wheeler though I am lucky to find all my gear, I think my pigtail got whiplash, it is very very sensitive now.
Yea we need to think up good replies for the cops, you can alway say, "Oh this stuff? I'm designing a combination laser/radar/breathalyzer blocker." |
