Magic setup is going to be my iPAQ 3955 w/dual sleeve (just got a nice E&B case for it) to mini-stumble but am still working on getting the Orinoco Gold card for it (sux cause I got so many cards lying around that I can't use, TrueMobile 1100, Cisco 340, Xircom, Symbol). Not sure on a GPS, it'll definitely have to be used and cheap though
I'm also working on getting a new laptop, a real beaut. Dell Latitude C400 with the mini-PCI. Thing is small as hell w/all a fast processor room from RAM, lots of HD space and ports a plenty. Decent size screen too, Did I mention it's small Until then I decided to download NS today to my current laptop (Latitude C600 w/mini-PCI) and give it a whirl. What fun, couldn't believe it ! Of course picked up my AP's form work and 2 on my way to the expressway (one actually had WEP turned on). Then I picked up 2 more while on the expressway. Got off the expressway and grabbed a few more on the rest of the way home, what fun. This is using the internal antenna with my laptop just sitting on the seat. So that's kinda my setup. Question is about the internal mini-PCI and an external antenna. I have done a search and did not come up with much. I know the leads can be taken off b/c when I ordered my laptop it was not yet available and had to install it myself. Question is who actually has a pigtail for it ? Someone mentioned Borg or Thorn ? Anyone checked with them yet ? I see there are several others interested in this option and I'm just wondering if any of them have sated their hunger yet. Looking forward to making my own antennas, lincmatic's stuff is ![]() |
