Panasonic Toughbook, and a question.
I'll probably add some photos in a few days. My question is this: My Toughbook has a full magnesium alloy shell, and the PC card antenna sits, obviously, right next to it. Will this affect my receive performance?

I haven't added an external antenna yet, my pigtails are in the mail. (My plans are for a small discone on the car roof)

The magnesium alloy cases of the toughbooks as well as the other metal based components of the laptop will affect your card's ability to pick up a signal. Once you add an external roof mount this will not be an issue.

Yep, got it.
That Pringles can was amazingly easy to build. Muhahaha. Look for the rest of Southeast Michigan to turn blue as soon as I upload my most recent scans.
