Stumbling on

I am planning to have a trip to Denmark and Finland with my Notebook & stumbling stuff.
I wonder if there are some extreme legal issues - something leading the customs to confiskate my equipment at entry or very aggressive laws regarding casual touching (= stumbling) of someone's network. Also, if there are any publicly connectable access points for Internet access in Finland and Denmark suitable for short term use? I would mainly travel in Finland in Helsinki/Espoo area and in Denmark primarly somewhere in central Jutland (city not known yet). Ted |

I've only registered today, so there may be better advice here than the one I can give...
I read an article in one of the major danish newspapers a little while back - and it claimed that there are a lot of "open" networks here in Denmark - especially in Copenhagen (the capital). Take a walk down the "Strøget" - the pedestrian street in the center and you'll find plenty of networks i guess... ...Hope that helps you |

A) PLEASE refrain from writing in AOL-speak.. There is a reason why the word "You" isn't spelled "u".
B) If you are planning on utilizing open networks, then no. If you are planning on seeing what areas already has been logged, then go to the wigle website and check out the online Webmaps. You could also download a wigle.net client, such as Digle (for win32), and follow the how-to on making a map-pack, written by yours truly and posted on the Netstumbler section of this forum. C) If you haven't read the rules of this site yet, then run, don't walk, to the the Welcome section of the forum. Dutch
