Im between Bloomington and Chicago (almost exactly between - LaSalle county).

Car Antennas/ Stores In Chicago Area?
I have a Desktop PC in my mobile home with a D-Link DWL-AG530 . the card came with a 2dbi omni directional antenna which is not gving me the distance I want.

My card has a SMA connector and Radio shack does not have antennas with a SMA connector. (so they say)

Does anyone know of any stores in the Chicago area where I can get a Antenna similar to this http://www.radiolabs.com/products/an....4-mobile7.php with a SMA. I prefer not to buy online if I dont have to

Did you actually look for a thread titled Illinois?

My suggestion is to delete this thread and try looking through that one.

The FCC has made it nearly impossible to get these adapters for this very reeason, if you still cannot find one you can get them online from many different sites. also you can do the radio-shack online store they do have them!

I have also found that truck stops seems to have a lot of these types of adapters, simply becasue of the truckers using CB's and things of that nature.

Actually, SMA is pretty common, it's the reverse SMA that makes life somewhat difficult, but not impossible.
