South Louisiana

Just wondering if anybody else was in the area?
Be neat to compare AP's and what not.

Cool

Just starting out.

Have an Orinoco gold, 5dbi magnetic mount omni antenna, Toshiba 2435-S255 laptop, & Garmin Etrex Vista GPS.

Intend on getting MapPoint 2004 soon.

Have done some testing in the New Orleans West Bank area.

Cool, pretty rare that I make it out to New Orleans, I'm in the Lafayette area. I did just get home from a supra Meet in Baton Rouge, found all sorts of cool stuff there.

Thumbs up

Nice to see that I am not the only Louisianian here. I'm located in the Larose area, actually a bit south of it in Golden Meadow. Finally decided to register, beings I have been frequenting the forum for about 6 months now..... reading posts and learning about WarDriving, WarChaulking, Wi-Fi, etc.
My equipment consist of: Toshiba Satellite 2455-S305 (1Gb Ram upgrade) w/WPC54G card(for home use@54Mb) / Alvarion BreezeNet PC-DS.11b card(for 11mb use/WarDriving... has external antenna hookup for my Omni mag-mount or CanTenna); a Linksys WRT54G (WEP-enabled/SSID Broadcast-disabled) Wireless Broadband Router (on DSL); a Linksys WSB24 (modified) Wireless Signal Booster; TWIN outdoor mounted home-brewed Omni Antennas (@20' on "T" bar w/2 1/2' of separation).
