You should have posted an audio file. I can't read the .- notation. I had to put it into a player so I could understand it. Most amature radio operators I know of can't read the text either. I had never even looked at the chart of charactors.

I went for a nice wardrive through chaska and waconia last night and I can confirm that chaska has city-wide WiFi access. It's pretty strong, even on the edge of town and is called ChaskaNet. Go have fun!

It's paid access, I spoke with the company that supplied the equipment, a very expensive way to set up an area as large as they are trying to do.

Do any of you do maps or always use GPS's I live in Brooklyn Park and found TONS of AP's but I don't have a GPS yet :-( I really, really want one. I go war biking because I can't see well enough to drive. it's good exercise and it's fun :-)

sup, I'm in Minneapolis now. Went for an hour drive the other week and picked up about 1250 APs. My ibook would not stop talking! Even the more run-down areas are full of APs, suprisingly.

I spent part of the day Stumbling around Duluth and Grand Rapids. Just under 400 AP's in Duluth. Lots of them are wide open to the public. Grand Rapids is a little more secure but still lots of access.

Just because they are not WEP'ed doesn't mean they are open to the public. Connecting to any access point you do not have explicit permission to connect to is a crime.
