rambopfc,
Tell the guy to take a hike. His transmission's bleeding into public territory. You have every right to stumble. I don't believe that stumbling's wrong so long as you don't DO anything with the information except map it, or use the networks you find.

Essentially, I'm pro-"Read ONLY".

Nothing out there even to play with(though always take a look at sourceforge). You would have better luck setting up VMWare on your Windows platform and then installing *nix/*bsd and using a USB client (NOT PCMCIA) to run any such os based app without too much difficulty. I am waiting for my usb client to come in. But if you don't know or don't care for *nix/*bsd, you are SOL at the moment. Hope that helped.

Better yet check with your local laws, this a very gray area and could cause a lot of headache. I wish we had every right to stumble, but that isn't all the way true either. Just be careful and don't hang out too long anywhere, you never know what could happen if the guy is video taping you while you stand in front of his place... If he claims damages you could get your gear (like all your computer stuff) taken away for a while, and spend a while worrying about this crap. I personally would not tell him anything, unless of course you feel like running with your laptop and antenna...
