Lehigh Valley, PA, USA
I stumble the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. I do it out of my car with my IBM 1300i series laptop with a built in IBM High Rate Wireless LAN Mini PC Card. I am going to config my GPS next weekend and finally put it on the laptop too. During the course of the last 14 days I have acquires 37 different AP's with no WEP on my lunchtime drives and too and from the offices.
I live a few miles north of Allentown, PA and have a clear elevated view of the city. Does anyone know of a design for an antenna that pickup from 5-8 miles? |

Drove down 78 past Atown...
Went for a drive last night.. Nothing at all along 78 from NJ out to Allentown. Swung down 309 to Quakertown and there were a ton with WEP enabled... Might swing by during the day when it wouldn't be conspicious to be sitting in a parking lot with airsnort...

Did some in Pittsburgh, did a random drive-by through areas I thought might have hotspots. Check-out the results at http://www.pghwireless.com.
I'd love to see your results, contact me if you'd like to join-up with some other people in Pittsburgh. |
