Hey there... I'm new to this, and to this forum...woke up saturday thinking "Wah, I feel like doing that today" and bought a cheap Linksys card, a cheap inverter, and did some stumbling with my friend with my laptop + PCMCIA and zaurus + PPC with 802.11b Compact flash
Just wondering if any of you are in the area so we could do something with other people who are better at this than us..

I have an E-125 (Casio). It's a pocketPC.
I intend to buy a Oronico Gold card and an adapter. However, you say you have a "prism2" CF card. Is this supported by "ministumbler"? I believed only Hermes cards were supported. |

I didn't even know Comdex was to be in Montreal...
Is it open to anyone who pays or do I have to be invited ? And yes we did use Ministumbler with the Maestro a bit, except we prefer Kismet on the zaurus... And the antenna we have is a little Orinoco antenna, bought a kit on ebay: Wavelan PCMCIA, 2 antennas (one broken) and 1 access point for 150$usd !

If you want to come and chat with me about stumbling I'm always on #quebec101 on Openprojects....err freenode (new name...uck)
But PLEASE don't mention wardriving or anything that has anything to do with it in the channel if a guy named "Max" is there...Annoying cousin of a friend, and if he learned that he'd start following us around...

However, let me know, at least 2 weeks in advance (I don't have the exact date yet), and I can get a few free passes (one of the only perks of being a speaker...) I hope to have a ministumbler setup by then as well. |

Well, I'm accessing the site, you can too, but Registration is not yet available, so I can't say how much it is.
Access to the general floor is pretty cheap, it's not Vegas after all. Access to the educational tracks costs bucks, I may be able to swing a pass or too, gotta look into that, it may be dependant on availability. The website is at: http://www.comdex.com/montreal/english/about/# |
