English, please.
As much as we like hearing from other countries, we'd appreciate it you'd stick to English. We don't have any Swedish speaking Admins or Moderators, and therefore we have no way to monitor the what is being said in this htread.
If we can't monitor, we can't tell what the topic is about. If we can't tell what the topic is, we can't tell if something illegal is being exchanged. If we can't tell if the topic legal, then paranoia kicks in, and posts get deleted for our own protection.

The only nonenglish word in this thread would be min mail=my mail, the others, Göteborg and Malmö are cities in Sweden...
Personally i´m sitting in Östersund, also a city in Sweden... I´m sorry that we have so many strange letters in swedish citynames... |

Actually there were about a half dozen posts that have been removed that were all Swedish. Names aren't a problem.

Halmstad
Hello there!
I´m just getting started in the city of Halmstad on the westcoast of Sweden. Got a laptop and a TrueMobile1150 with an external omni that I´ve mounted on the rigth hand window of my car. I´ve also got a Toshiba E740 PDA with built-in WiFi that runs Ministumbler, works very well for "warwalking". Now I´m just lacking a GPS, planning on buying a Garmin Etrex Legend. 2 600 SEK including shipping at http://www.tbhmobil.com Seems to me that it would do just nicely both for wardriving and regular navigation in and out of the car. Any comments on that? / PPC1 |

Portions of this thread have been edited to remove foul/insulting language after a proper translation was supplied.
Thanks for the translation...

Etrex Legend
Perhaps a bit off topic in this thread but anyway
A follow up to my previous post above: I ordered that GPS I mentioned, the Etrex Legend, yesterday. Price now down to 2 500 SEK including shipping. Is it just a matter of connecting it to com1 on my laptop, start NS and thats it? Do I need to configure the port settings i anyway? I doubt that I will be using it for much ells besides wardriving but thought that I would prefer the Legend before the basic Etrex, mainly because of the mapsupport and the builtin memory. Nothing to do with "Other Stumblers", I know. Only my second post in this forum so I hope you´ll bare with me... (I´ll try to post in the correct forum in the future.) |
