Cool pics. I just started mapping in the greenbrier area. Where did you get that yagi? local? Im stuck with a 3db omni at the moment.

got the antenna off ebay.

Ya I mapped a ton of greenbriar out by the oracle building and the square mall. But I've done more in VB and Norfolk.

Maybe we can share data.

I have only grabbed about 8 AP's so far.
But i'm more than willing to share the data.
I have found one large reatiler in this area that is not using wep.I was able to sniff transaction data .. truely amasing.I take it you have mapped downtown norfolk pretty well? what areas have you yet to explore?

I need to hit other business sides of chespeake/suffolk/portsmouth

I've done

VB,Norfolk and the Oyster Point section of Newport News.

I am about 600+ total so far. I pick up new ones all the time on routes I have mapped out before.

But if your willing to do chespeake pretty hard we could split the load out.....

Yea, I'm near dulles airport, I'd be interested in stumbling with you.

I work in the wireless industry (vendor) so I can get equipment to use too.

I have an ipaq as well as a laptop to run on.

MToker - I live in VA as well. Can you hook me up with how you did your antenna? I need to get one running soon. There is just so much activity here. BTW - not doing this for hacking, working on some proposal numbers.

I am looking at picking up a 5dBi antenna for the car. I was thinking about amping the system but wanted to know how good yours has been and if it is even woth the hassle. I am looking at an ISM magnetic antenna. I have everthing else already, just need to look at what I can do to help my range. Makes it easier to not have to drive up smaller streets to hit a few places. Thouhgts?
