Fox News Report: sheriff's in Norwalk using iPaQs and WiFi...
10:15pm News Report - Fox 11 News Norwalk
They said in the report that "the department already has security versions figured out.." They showed images of people being downloaded, and taking reports on the iPaQ with a sleeve and a card with an external antenna. Anyone else see this, or know more about this?... sounds too scary to be true.. Anyone starting on a SheriffStumbler? ![]() Note: Respect all forms of authority, they know what they are doing..

Here in KC there is one particular police department that I know is using wireless. I came to find out that the signal I saw was not actually from a police station but more from police department related offices. Nonetheless, they are still wide open.
From what I hear there are also some patrol cars using wireless. I would like to find out if anyone knows for sure of any area around KC where the police officers use wireless for dispatch and such. That would be an interesting signal to pick up whilst driving by a popo!!
