Actually it depends on what you job is. Barry could get a job at the Genius Bar. He would be well qualified with that and that would have him dealing with the people who bring their gear in for repair. From what I have seen when I was there, those people tend to be among the older people. Of course if he gets stuck with handling iPhone and iPod's and those are certainly the younger generation.

If I could swing a part time job working there I would, mostly for the employee discount. I would like to find out how to get some of the training that they get expecially on Mac OS X and the hardware.

Apple - Training and Certification

That's where I got any that wasn't hands on trial and error. I've only ever taken one real live instructor based apple class. It was for something I had already been doing for two years. Figured if I pass it up, they wouldn't offer any more. They didn't offer any more anyway...
