Not long ago in a thread about GPS I said "NEMA" by misteak
. In an educational follow-up post BW said "It is NMEA as in The National Marine Electronics Association." And I learned. But just for fun, BW, do a Google search on the two words NEMA and Garmin. Then do it with NMEA. Compare the numbers of hits. You'll see that it more often written wrong than right. Before posting about Newsweek I did a search on "Newsweek". No hits. So I posted. Now I've learned there are obscure nooks to this site which don't get searched in a Forum search. You must be a German. Cheers, QE |
