LOL.. You're a Wigle 1%'er Emeritus. AFAIR you got in the club right after you did Houston.

Group Stats for March 2006

Group stats for March 2006
Another impressive month for the group, mainly due to Mark571, who singlehandedly stood for over 50 % percent of the 105760 networks with gps, the group detected this month.

This months also adds another NS group member to the Wigle One Percenters Club, and it will be interesting to see how long it takes before beakmyn rejoins that exclusive group of Wigle uploaders. Go get 'em beak, time to do Houston again, but no need to change your name to Debbie..

Top 5 uploaders for March:
1 mark571 53128 - 50.23 %

2 ccie4526 10956 - 10.35 %
3 Dutch 6895 - 6.51 %
4 goldfndr 5840 - 5.52 %
5 mokum 4514 - 4.26 %

Uploaders for March:
mark571, ccie4526, goldfndr, Dutch, beakmyn, theprez98, freg, aquatechie, banstorm, valic, wham, mokum, ion9, kiss2000, g8tk33per, barry99705, c21h30o2, itsnotme, ldti

Top 3 Longest time since uploads:
1 Netforce 2 years 1 month 8 days ago
2 sykojester 1 year 9 months 11 days ago
3 ThreePts 1 year 8 months 7 days ago

No doubt about it, the numbers show it : The NS Forums group members stumble best of all. Since the group was setup 21 months ago, it has detected on average 55K+ networks Page Ranking month.
That's just damn impressive!

Sorry, I'll try to do better next time. 13,754 miles in one month is high mileage even for me. I'm glad it's almost done. The rest of my sister's estate can be finished remotely. Come next weekend I'm taking a couple of weeks worth of R&R. Must fight urge to to stumbling in new territories.

How do you guys find so many networks? Are you truckers or something? That would be pretty cool, driving around with 7 or 8 antennas mounted to the roof.

Nope, just have the stumbling rig running on 95% of all car trips, and in a targus PC backpack if I'm walking around in towns...

Read a few pages back in this thread and my mileage comment about last month will make sense.

If I'm in the vehicle, I have Kismet and/or Netstumbler running. No drive is too short. My work commute is about 16 miles one way and I try to never go the same way. I record my routes with Delorme Street Atlas USA 2006 and create overlays of the routes previously driven and networks found (from autocache JiGLE files) and load them for each drive so it's easy to see undriven routes/streets and points discovered by me and others. I color code mine in red and others in yellow. Current map. Note most are red.

PS, where there are no dots, there are no people or wireless.

I don't do anything 1/2 way and the fact I enjoy driving sure doesn't hurt either.

She refers to me as "master". At least that's what I keep telling myself.
