Thanks everyone for the sentiment. I got my wife to bring my laptop up so I could check in. Today's first day I've even felt like my old self. I hope to go home in the next week or so. Damn, that sounds like a long time away.

Glad to hear you're feeling better.

You might try contacting Dr. Michael Weiss at the University of Washington Neuro clinic and see what is happening in their research facility.

http://depts.washington.edu/neurolog...s_michael.html

We've been going over to Seattle to see him for the last four years or so...

(The wife has CMT, a form of peripheral neuropathy..)

169,000+ miles on that thing. They handed me a plastic bag filled with poop for it's trade-in value. I haven't stumbled in my car once. It has 550 miles on it.
Congrats on the number 2 spot!

Thank you. I hope everything is going well now that you are back at home.

Last week gpsd disconnected on me (both laptops use 1 puck connected via crossover) after I started the laptops and let them run all day w/o checking them. 1 had a 12 new w/ gps out of 1200 new w/o gps, the other a 150/1000+ something? I was out in St. Louis when the 12/1200 happened. Had a load from Cincinnati to Sapulpa, OK (near Tulsa). They kicked me off of it 14 miles from OK border (Joplin), and I swapped with a driver, and went right back to St. Louis. On the way out there, I drove downtown past the arch.

I bought a foldable bike. Got it up in my bunk. Twice I have gone Warbiking. Got about 450 total new between the 2 times. First time was not good. I got lost, and ended up asking a police car how to get back to the Walmart I had parked in. I ended up riding about 7 miles, and it was 90 something in NC, and i didn't take any water with me. Second time I studied the map better, and got back to my truck w/o any problems in IN. Just a backpack with a laptop and my 2 8dbi panels placed in the bag facing the sides, and a gps puck poking out the top of the bag.

Drove up to MI in my car, still no WDing in it. Last minute decision, and all my equipment is mostly in my truck now. Did take a laptop w/ only internal card to MSU campus in East Lansing to watch MSU whoop UAB, and burn the right side of my face in the sun. 300 new to and from stadium parking. I couldn't resist, though the whole time I was thinking I should go to a store and get something with an external antenna (obsessed much?).... Michigan lost to ASU as we were getting back to my father's car, and it sounded like new years when they blocked the kick. Horns honking and cheers heard from all across campus. That was funny.

Don't you just hate GPSD issues. I used to deal with them all the time until I started using the old forked version that Dutch posted here. I haven't done any driving since the DC trip. I just can't seem to get in the mood. Besides, every network around here has at least 40,000+ GPS coordinates in WiGLE so any driving I do and upload takes years to triangulate. I get the subtle impression that WiGLE would be perfectly happy if I didn't upload any more. I may just oblige them.

It was hot in DC when we were there. 95 degrees, very high humidity and zero wind unless you were near a politician, but it's still just HOT air. We left DC for Lansing, then up the coast to the UP then back down to Green Bay, Madison, St Louis, and home.

Last weekend we were at the OU - North Texas, 79 -10 massacre. We were sending in Norman high school freshmen long before the half but it didn't slow it down much. Coach even asked the refs to let the clock run but they wouldn't do it. I felt sorry for them but it could have been a lot worse. They have a new team and all new coaches straight out of high school coaching. Welcome to Division 1-A football. This weekend we play Miami. It should be more interesting.

Yeah, I have the old GPSD, too. I think the usb plug jostled when I hit a bump on the highway that was so violent I had stuff in my overhead storage bins eject onto my head and the floor.

Question for everyone, has the cost of gas slowed down your wardriving? I know I have not been out as much, plus with the new job I started, things have been a little weird.
