Homo Sapiens is a competitive species, even if it isn't PC to say so. I for one get a small kick out of seeing the collective stats rise, and gain on Hratch's stats, and another kick everytime I pass somebody I know from their posts here on the individual stats, not to mention the ability to razz'n'smacktalk for instance G8t on MSN, with his low AP count on Wigle

Yeah, yeah...what's next, my low sperm count?

I find about 2:1, kismet:NS. Not all of those are "hidden" but since it's passive you get a lot more networks that are within the antenna's reception area, but are too far away to receive the NS probe/beaon request. As far as location, it tends to be less accurate in that regard.

You're NOT supposed to hold the antenna BETWEEN your legs!

I'd say approximately 50% +.
During WWWD IV I used both NS and kismet, on the routes I stumbled. NS on the way out, and Kismet on the way back.
When uploading the files, I normally uploaded the NS files first, and then the Kismet files. On the upload status page, the kismet files normally contained more than the double the amount of AP's where approximately 50-60% of them were new.
I.E. if a NS file for the route had 100 AP's, the kismet file for the same route had 200-250.

Remember, than when using NS, the amount you find is dependant on 4 factors : Your cards TX output, your cards RX sensitivty, the AP's RX sensitivty and the AP's TX output.

With Kismet and other passive scanners, the amount you find is only dependant on 2 factors : the AP (and their associated clients)'s TX output, and your cards RX sensitivity.

Who said he uses an antenna... He has said before that his private parts glows in the dark

Quick.. Where's the bleach.. I need to eradicate that vision on the internal 32" screen, of where G8t plugs in the pigtail from the card, when he goes stumbling...

The 50% info was what I was after. I use Link Ferret to passive sniff, so I do have a passive method for WinBlows, just not for Wardriving.
