2nd largest construction site in the world! At the peak there were over 15,000 contractors on site. When I got here in Aug there were about 10k. Now it's a lot less but still in the thousands. We may take Sunday off and go to Hiroshima. Taking the Shinkansen there. Osaka is nice but it gets boring when all you have to do is go to Namba or JR station. Namba is like a mini Tokyo downtown. They don't have Akihibara but they do have Den-Den town. A lot of electronics but the Wireless camera hunter was 650Y I can get it for 400Y on ebay.

There's lots of robot stuff at the Joshin's and some sweat "desktop lathes" if you're into that stuff.

It's been a good experiance. I wouldn't do it again, in Japan but Australia or some other place came up in a year or so I'd be tempted. I'd also bring the family over.

In case any is wondering Japan prices are on par with say, California. Most stuff is reasonable though. We only spend between $10-15 for dinner (without the U.S. portion size). The beer is good (that's important) we found an Irish pub, that has Guinness, Kilkenny and Blackthorn cider on tap (All $9.00 though). They also have really good food.

If anyone is interested in a debriefing let me know by PM. Time to go get some dinner.

Oh Yes !

If they let me do it I would really do all their tower climbing for them. Heights don't bother me, but I still don't like to fly.

Alrighty then!

I'm back in the running with a new stumbling rig.

The ATT fuze is now running and collecting AP's as I drive. So no more lugging the laptop in the van and wires hanging all over the place. Surprisingly I pick up signals pretty good with it.

Did some test uploads to Wigle today to make sure I could. So keep a look out Dave, I'm on my way on catching you now.

Its about time

66 new aps not bad

I was doing so good slowly crawing my up and then DaKahuna came along blew by me. I have a trip to Indiana next week so that will help.

Wififofum. Runs pretty good. Saves as a .ns1 file to upload to Wigle. It also can be saved as a Google Earth file for adding your data into GE. So that was pretty sweet. There are some other formats it will save as well so can do almost anything with it.

Yea tell me about it. I really enjoy this Fuze. It's doing more for me than I thought would be possible. There is something strange with the wifi radio in this thing. It seems to get some really good range, unless it is using the power cable like an antenna of some sort. I just seems to be picking up AP's at a greater distance than the old 8525 did. I guess I will have to do some testing since I still have old faithful laying on the desk.

I uploaded another file to Wigle while sitting at Chilli's eating tonight. Going to be uploading another before heading to bed. I have no excuse to get my stats up there now that I have an "all in one" package that will fit in my hand.

Now is your chance. I have been out of commission since I upgraded my Kismet to Newcore - Can't seem to get the gps to work correctly with it. Getting lots of APs but no GPS coordinates. Am close to backing out new core just so I don't stop getting AP's.

I'm pretty sure you still get them. Their coordinates just get updated by someone else.

Its to bad that you can't get Newcore and gpsd working together.Don't give up, even if it takes years
