There are alot of areas that I have not hit around here yet. So chances are I can get another couple to few thousand in a couple weeks. Just need to take some time and drive around.

Of course, two of the areas are places I haven't driven yet, I don't go without a sidearm..

Same here. I havent had a chance to wardrive this town at all, except for I-44 (just moved here less than a month ago). By habit, any time I go out of town, I always have Mappoint running to find my way around, and Netstumbler running in the background. I don't normally carry a sidearm, but there are some areas around here that I probably should. I do always keep my blade on my side, and carry a length of heavy chain in the cab of the truck just in case someone decides to try something stupid.

13574 from second place...
Way to go people.
If the trend continues, we should pass the Wigle Founding Fathers next month.
Get stumbling and lets show them what the NS forum users are made of

Ok, I'm gonna plug finally. Been a while since I've been here since I started running kismet.

Stats for user ccie4526:

First of the month/year, I was about tied with eyecannon for 13th/14th place. Trying to break the 50,000 mark before end of March, maybe February if I'm lucky.

And I am not a member of any groups (yet).

Everything so far has been on the road. Either from my truck ('03 Chevy Silverado Duramax 2500HD, CrewCab LWB), or a rental vehicle. Found APs in Australia, Scotland, Germany, and several states in the US.

My rig is a Dell Inspiron 5100 (P4-2.8GHz/1Gb/40Gb), Dell TrueMobile 1150 (OEM Orinoco Gold), Pacific Microwave 25dB MMDS Receive Preamplifier, Maxrad 5.5dBi Magmount Omni. Garmin 16 GPS. Fedora Core 1, Orinoco Snax/Dragorn driver, Kismet. Hope to get a Maxrad 12dBi omni to mount on the truck before too much longer.

Gotta talk to the guy who lets me fly his Cessna 172, see if I can put a magmount antenna on the bottom of the plane, then I'll start warflying as well.

Ohyeah, for those wondering what I do for a living.... I'm the senior engineer for a Wireless ISP.

You should definately join the Netstumbler Group, even though it will bump me down a step. That would give us quite a boost.

Well guys, after a couple days of stumbling in my free time, I have managed to make it to the first page in the Wigle stats. At this rate, we should hit second place in no time.

Cool looks like we could make it by next weekend. I did a post xmas test drive in Seattle and the results were better than I expected. A couple days down there and were in!

*Doing the Ricky Lake Maneuver* Go Waldo.. Go Waldo.. Go Waldo...

On another note, I spent some time, many years ago, in the Seattle - Tacoma area.. Recall that the skiing was great just an hours drive from there, and the nature when getting outside town. Wow..
I'm envious if thats the area you reside in.
