Wireless Networks: How To Hack And Secure

There's a new eBook on the market that goes into detail about pretty much everything. The author doesn't really condone hacking at all, its just that he shows the basics of scanning and how to test to see if "your" network is vulnerable or not.

Anyways, it's prolly a great piece to start off with if you're new to the wireless community, and you get a bunch of other free stuff with it too. It's going for $20 (which is worth what you learn, to me) and he's doing an affiliation thing...50%. So if you have a cool website or something, you can make $10 a pop i guess.

Here's the site:

that's my 2 cents

I've never been a real big e-book fan. $20 seems to be a bit steep for something that has almost no overhead with editing, publishing, etc.

I *liked* the idea of ebooks, before I got burnt.

Purchased two from a company which implemented some sort of "login/key-check" every time you opened the PDF...

Ok, that would have been fine, until 6 months later - when they went out of business...

Now, they won't open. I used a variety of tools (Adobe, Ghostscript, etc) but was only able to dump the postscript to a file. That's *ok*, but it only likes then being dumped to a printer, the security code is still embedded, I cannot make a new PDF...

dumping to a printer removes the whole reason for having an ebook in the first place.

Man that sux, sorry to hear about this...this is just a pdf file, so there's none of that. But now that's something that I'm going to look into when purchasing eBooks from now on. Thanks for the heads-up!
