Compaq WL100 working...
My Compaq WL100 works, I think. It is detecting an AP, but can't access it. However, my setup for the wifi card isn't normal. I read on a board that you had to install the driver for the Samsung MagicLan card. Both cards use the Prism II chipset. When using the Compaq driver, my card didn't work properly. But using the Samsung MagicLan driver, it worked like a charm on my school's network!
I'm not sure if this link will help in getting the WL100 officially supported in the next release, but I hope it does: http://www.frars.org.uk/cgi-bin/render.pl?pageid=1084 Happy stumbling! |

Prism
Some people have reported getting NetStumbler to work Prism cards to work with Win2K and WinXP. But only those two OSs and only NS 0.3.30. "Your mileage may vary."

Yes. I am using XP and 0.3.30. But I still don't want to confirm this as a working WL100 in NS until I can get an AP to register in the NS software using the card. Maybe once I visit my school I can test it.
