Compatible Cards (v0.3)

I need to know what cards are compatible with miniStumbler, as I have given up trying to get any of the other similar products to work with my DLink (Prism-based) Air to work.

I had a Dell on the way, but that too is Prism-based(?)

Any way to get the Dell to work, or do I need to find something else?

Thanks for the help- I realize it is the most often asked question, but I see nothing in the FAQ here about specific cards...

Toshiba e740 built-in wireless
iPAQ 5400 series built-in wireless (hopefully)

Sounds great

Marius-

That's great news about .4!

What I of course forgot to mention is that I was refering to CF cards only...

I can't wait for the release "soon" so please keep us posted!

For those that are interested, CompUSA is running a promo this week for a D-Link Air DCF-660W CF 802.11b card for $19.99 after rebates ($69.99 - $20 instant, $30 mail-in).

What part of "UNSUPPORTED" didn't you understand?

When v0.4 comes out, Marius says most Prism cards will work. Until that time, they are still unsupported.

RTFM.

i bought a D-Link DWL-660 and use it with a simpad sl4!

d-link said on their homepage that it is exactly the same as an orinoco gold!

but why the hell isnīt it working with ministumbler (ministumbler says: "no wireless card found")? iīm using orinoco winCe driver...

what do u think about a firmware update (orinoco-firmware -> d-link-card)?

please help me!

Well, that depends on which "ORiNOCO Gold" the D-Link DWL-660 "is exactly the same as."

Judging from D-Link's model number (660) it may be on of the new Ruby chipset units, which don't work with NS/MS.

In the meatime, you might want to look through this thread:
http://www.stumbler.net/index.php?cat=4

It contains information about what drivers work best with MiniStumbler.
