biquad best for homebrew?
i just found a place that shows u how to build a standard biquad
started building and came out with cruddy looking first draft and was amazed at how good directional antennas are for distance(this being the first time i have ever used one) well i was playing with it looking at it and i notice my measurements from the copper to the base was off so i measured and it was a whole 9 mm off and it was still picking up i fixed it and now i get better snr but im truly amazed @ how crappily u can build these things and still come out with something usable

I was just looking at the biquad / primestar dish setup:
http://obelix.umh.es/web/jgomsi/wire...all/biquad.htm Would it be possible to create a more portable / covert version on the biquad primestar dish? Could you put a biquad in a cantenna? -JB |

1. putting a biquad in a can is useless, you are mixing two types of antennae
2. you don't need a dish to use a biquad 3. most of your questions can be answered by reading the FAQ threads and using search, e.g. http://forums.netstumbler.com/showth...ghlight=biquad http://www.trevormarshall.com/biquad.htm http://www.geocities.com/lincomatic/homebrewant.html |
