Never mind, I just updated the script and took it for a quick test drive...
174 AP's found - 174 AP's plotted! ![]() Last edited by Laidback : 06-01-2004 at 05:06 PM. Reason: Because crumb symbol was set to 17 instead of 16 |

I'm also thinking of changing the random coloured symbols used to show the AP's to the usual red/green icons, as below. Maybe even make the bread crumbs change colour to reflect the signal (like the other script)

a) Yesterday morning - good weather, strong GPS, nearly all breadcrumbs, 10 APs found by NS (with GPS positions) - 5 plotted by the script. b) Yesterday evening - sound and speech disabled, bad weather, weak GPS, only 5 breadcrumbs, 10 APs found by NS (with GPS positions) - 3 plotted by the script (beneath the breadcrumbs) New: c) This morning - sound and speech enabled, breadcrumbs disabled, good weather, strong GPS, 10 APs found by NS (with GPS positions) - 2 plotted by the script. This evening I will test your new script v0021 |

Perl version of these scripts
As a side note all the core functions of the perl scripts i posted earlier are now available on CPAN see NetStumbler::Stumbler to see my author field and grab the modules you wish to craft your own changes easily... i.e install the modules then the script becomes very short and manageable as most of the function will now be module calls instead of inlined

I guess someone needed to point me in the direction of a place that defines what WEP is as if I didnt know. I find that rather funny considering how long I've been here. Some people will never get it I guess.

@Laidback:
I currently have no Mappoint, but one Question to your picture image1.jpg ( http://www.netstumbler.org/attachmen...achmentid=2393 ): What's the "Wireless LAN Data Properties" Window? Is this a Mappoint window? I don't see the selected symbol in the Map on the right!? //edit btw there's a little bug in the Script: You don't renamed the header of the messageboxes. ' Start of by Laidback 030504 Dim CL, nameDir nameScript = "ns04mappoint00:19" <------------ ' end of by Laidback 030504 Last edited by dadaniel : 06-05-2004 at 09:09 AM. |
