I've been looking for the Uk equivelant and can't find it. It seems that Microsoft only want to give me windows and office for cheap.

At the Illinois State University technology store, they give deals like that to students. I bet other universities/colleges do too.

Presumably you mean *_ap.txt and *_ah.txt

There are two classes of communications under 802.11b/a/g:
1) Infrastructure mod, which uses an Access Point, and
2) AdHoc mode, otherwise known as Peer-to-Peer.

You shouldn't have to be Sherlock Homles to figure it out from here. You will have four possible classes of results:
* Access Points networks with encryption enabled.
* Access Points networks without encryption.
* Ad Hoc networks with encryption enabled.
* Ad Hoc networks without encryption.

When importing them into S&T or other mapping program, this allows you to denote each class with a different symbol.

Thank you, Thorn. After I asked the forum I realized the answer was in the script.

You're welcome, and no problem.

This is not a NS internal script. It's a standard PERL script to run as a post process.

To further elaborate on Thorns correct post, start NS up, then press F1, and read the section about Scripts. If you want to run run a script written in xx language, you need to install a scripting engine for xx language. So if you find another perl script, designed to run in-process, then you have to install a perl scripting host first.

That's for the license only, he'd still need the CD. The offer from the adobe.ccvsoftware whatever (mentioned earlier, too lazy to look) is legit and only $43.

ok I admit it I am an idiot. I have installed active perl. I have also run the perl -MCPAN -e 'install Getopt::Long' as stated in the script then downloaded the several dependency programs it seems to need. well I have tried entering ns2st -i 20050724065908.ns1 -o 20040909 the script seems to run but I do not get any additional files. so I have enabled this script in NS in hopes that would do something but still nothing extra in my ns folder or the scripting folder I created (where the script resides)

How do I get this to work. I have tried everything I can think of and do not know why it is not working

Thanks for any help
