Exclamation rtl8180L

dont know exactly where to put this, so ill put it here.

It seems the RTL8180L chip is working better with NS 0.4 (it had random crashes etc.) i havent done a wardrive with it yet, but it sure gives a lot of more info about my router. NS used to crash when i had "hide ssid beacon frame" broadcasting on, but its okay now. It also displays my router's vendor which i didnt know cos its rebranded.

only one minor thing the SSID name has L9D appended to it. so it shows:
"MyRoutersSSIDnameL9D" for instance. I dont know if this is a router thing or the card, so i will let you know tomorrow, when i take a little warPublicTransportationTrip () to school. to see if it does it with all AP's it finds.

hope this is useful info. And keep up the good work Marius!

ok, i took my laptop to school today. It didnt crash anymore, and the "L9D" thing seems to be only with my router.. so imo i thinks its working fine

Talking New "Card" - Broadcom 54g - HP Laptop

My laptop's internal WLAN NIC is finally not only supported, but supported well.

Anyone contemplating buying a HP zx5000 series notbook can at least be assured that Netstumbler will work on it.

Thank you, marius, not only for this, but for the display fix. Now I can finally watch my network get clobbered and have a chance of finding out what's clobbering it.

Now to see how ministumbler works on the iPAQ 55 with a Navman sleeve.

Exclamation Intel 2100 mPCI, Orinoco Gold, Buffalo WLI-CB-G54

System: Inspiron 8600, Pentium M 1.4
Wireless: Intel 2100 mPCI, Orinoco Gold, Buffalo WLI-CB-G54

0.3.30: Intel crashed efficiently, Orinoco solid, Buffalo not tested

0.4: Intel misreports but does not crash, Orinoco and Buffalo solid

Marius, you do excellent work. Thanks for the new version. Elegant code, and well documented and supported by overly polite, eloquent people in these forums. I've only had to look up a few of the words I've found. ;~}

Thank you, thank you for the new version.

My Dell Truemobile 1400 a/b/g mini-pci card works fine now, no more crashing every ten seconds. Thank you again.

SMC EliteConnect 2532W-B gave me problems one and a while but not anymore. This card is available at CompUSA and has two external RP-MMCX antenna connectors. Awsome card, lots of power, wouldn't trade it for anything.

SMC EliteConnect at COMPUSA

I also have a Buffalo Airstation WLI-CB-G54A b/g card I'll try today and let ya know.

Thumbs up this card works

Hi,

Used 3com airconnect : 3crwe737a-fr ... works fine with NS 0.4 so far....
BTW since I couldnt find an mmcx connector at all for the card (dont even think of a pigtail).... built my own froM parts of original antenna
