it works good and doesnt crash with netstumbler 4

the only wierd issue is that when i use it to test my aerials that i have made and with manufacured aerials i goto test the strenth of them
and the max result i get is Signal+: 45 , Noise: -100 , SNR+:55

anyone know the deal with this is it just becuase im testing the aerials in the same room ?

WPC54GS works with Netstumbler .4

It seems to work fine once the card is recognized by Netstumbler. If it does not get detected, I simply remove and reinsert the card and NDIS 5.1 is detected. BTW, this is the card with Speedbooster running from stock drivers on the cd dated 3/8/2004 3.50.21

Just like to clear something up about the Linksys wireless USB adapter v2.6
(WUSB11 v2.6) It does work with netstumbler 0.4 but perhaps not imediatly. I had to mess around with the registry to get it to work but im sure a reinstall of hardware would do it too. (WinXP pro no service pack) Unfortunatly it picks up a network and looses it in roughly a 2 second cycle. But its perfectly timed so im sure its just something to do with the auto configuration.

Dell True Mobile 1450 a,b,g

This card works great in my Toshiba Protege M200. It's not the original card from the Toshiba. I bought it direct from Dell and added it myself. Thanks for all the great work on this software.

In Germany here. Medion USB 802.11g WLAN Dongle working wonderful with NS .4. Running the Netgear WG111 SmartWizard program.

The card is the exact model as the Netgear wg111, only with the Medion label.

I concur, D-Link 630 works quite well.
Also, Linksys WPC-11 ver 3.0 is good.
D-Link DWL-122 (USB) Works great.
Proxim 8470-WD Gold B/G Worked but had the Atheros Chipset problem holding signals for 2 or more minutes after they are gone. I'm going to experiment with different drivers to see if any work better.
ORiNOCO 8410-WD Gold Classic, Well OF COURSE it worked suberbly, BUT, did have a problem at first. it would stop receiving signals after various times, usually quite quickly, like two minutes or less. The latest drivers on Proxim's website was 7.64, and that is what was on the CD I got with it. and the client manager was 2.9. I ended up going to Agere's web site directly, they had Driver version 7.82, and Client Manager version 3.30. This fixed everything for my setup.

So if you have any problems with the Classic Card this is what worked best for me.

OS: WIN2001 Version 5.01 Service Pack 1 Build 2600

Variant 1, Version 3.30 of Client Manager
Variant 2, Version 7.82 of NDIS 5 Miniport driver
Variant 4, Version 5.00 of ORiNOCO PC Card (5 volt)
Encryption capabilities: WEP + 128RC4
Max. data rate: 11 Mbit/s
03UT52424320
Variant 1, Version 4.04 of Primary Functions firmware
Variant 2, Version 9.42 of Station Functions firmware

Proxim(orinoco) 8471 b/g combo

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm happy to report that my Proxim (orinoco) 8471 (gold) card works with NS with no issues other than not reporting Noise, but as I understand the Atheros chipset doesnt do that anyway. Im running Windows XP Pro (upgraded from XP Home) with SP1 installed. As of yet no crashes or lock ups.
