Thumbs up Buffalo WLI2-USB2-G54 USB w/external antenna connector

I have recently purchased this unit, it seems to work perfectly under NetStumbler 0.4.0 under NDIS 5.1 compatible mode.

The unit has a PRISM chipset, the signal strentgh is shown in dBm (no noise measured because of the use of NDIS 5.1 compatible mode). The unit has an external MC type antenna conector, and gets the power to operate from the USB bus (very practical).

I have let it running for 8 hours and show no errors.

Driver tested:
PRISMA02.SYS v1.00.10.1 (under Windows XP SP1)
NetStumbler 0.4.0 (build 554)

I am happy to report that my D-Link DWL-G650 and NS 0.3.xx AND 0.4 work flawlessly together, on my WinXP Pro SP2 / IBM Thinkpad 380XD.

All three using XP Home the ndis5.1 device. The Siemens needed SP1, the others were happy with the original XP.

Gericom Mini USB Adapter with SIS162 Chipset using driver 1.04 from www.sis.com.

Netgear MA111 with prism chipset (the v2 has a different chipset) and Driver 2.0 from www.netgear.com

Siemens Gigaset USB Adapter 11 with Atmel 505A chipset. Using the supplied driver. The one for download on the Siemens site was older and didn't work.

Exclamation Netgear Wag511 and Proxim 8470

The Netgear WAG511 works with Netstumbler 0.4.0

When using the commview or airdefense mobile driver it will also detect cloaked ap's. This will also work for the 8470 proxim card.

cheers

Exclamation Pre-N

I bucked up and bought a Belcan Pre-N F5D8010 Card for my Dell 800 running .4 and MapPoint 04' and GPS (came with S&T 05')

works great!!

not only that, but driving without an external antenna i was able to pick up 100+ more AP's than i did with my other card. not sure if this is a 200mw card or not as i cant find anything that says this. but so far, no issues at all

The thread is now closed.

You might well ask "Why?" and the answer, to be succinct is "morons."

Yes, "morons". I'm talking about sad little people who can't read the title to the thread and see that this was to be a list of cards that work, and NOT about supporting a card that is not listed in the README.

In the last 18 hours there have been several, and frankly, it's two too many. They just end up creating work for the mods and increase the SNR around here as people moan about their "rights" being violated.

If anyone has a card that is not here, that works with NS and they would like to see added, send a PM to a mod, and they can do that for you.

The thread has now been cleaned up and ALL support questions removed.

Does my "Sword of Revealing Light" Yu-Gi-Oh card work with NS?

Zcomax XI-325HP+ working well on WinXP

I just wanted to report that the XI-325HP+ is working very well on WinXP with the ndis 5.1 driver

Everything (Signal, SNR, etc.) seems to work without problems.

You sir, are a twit..
A) Did you see the exisiting thread stickied at the top of the forum, for reporting these things ?
B) Did you read the included documentation, and checked the MULTITUDE of posts regarding which cards report signal and noise correctly ?

I repeat. You sir, are a twit...

Buffalo WLI-CB-G54A

I have a Dell Latitude C500 running Windows 2000 with the Buffalo WLI-CB-G54A (54g with antenna attachment PCMCIA card) in there. I have not loaded the Buffalo connection manager software, only the card drivers themselvs. Worked with NO PROBLEM the first try.

This laptop is dual boot to 2K and Knoppix (still no wireless card drivers for Linux, however)

And since when did a Dell Latitude C500 run MiniStumbler ? Try at least to read the topics before posting in an existing thread.

Moved to the NetStumbler Forum and merged with the NetStumbler compatibility report thread.
