Really? Does it properly report SNR or does NS just happen to run with it?

Asus WL-167G

I just got in my Asus WL-167G works just great with NetStumbler 0.4 under NDIS 5.1 compatible mode.

NetStumbler also will let me look at the signal graph (no noise because of NDIS mode but still).

A little bit on the adaptor.

The adaptor its self is great. Well built and gets a good signal. Come with a nice sturdy end cap to keep dust out if your travling or what not with it. Comes with about a 6" usb cable and a usb swivel adaptor. The swivel adaptor is a little on the cheap side to me but it is the first one I have ever had a chance to realy look at so dont go taking my word on that.

Also comes with a neck string so if you want to ware it out to a night at the lan games you can

Maybe it's so that the other members of his lan party can strangle him for being such a dork?

What kind of noise data do you get with that card?

It does not show any Noise only a thin red line at the bottom.
My Avaya Card is showing the real Noise

The first image is my Belkin AP located on the basement and my laptop sitting on kitchen table upstair.

The second one is a neighbor located 5 houses away from me.
http://mrda.ca/images/MaisonAP.jpg

The difference with my Avaya card when i do WAR driving is that i can be 10 miles from a group of AP and they still show green on Netstumbler. But outside that i get every AP and some time as far as 1/2 miles away in country road or along highway. I can barely see the cottage from the road and i get the signal.
The antenna is mounted around the LCD panel

Snapshot of all AP with signals. Noise is allways at -100
