Why would you even NEED that? That's what a connection manager and an admin is for.

(Oh and if you do write a plugin for the current version to do that, you'd probably be in the slammer for helping Tards connect to networks they're not supposed to be on. There's a word for it: accomplice.)

Who said anything about releasing it but your point does not fall upon deaf ears, This was my point is stating that it will never be released as such in a future version.

Think what you will, some of us admin large networks with multiple WAPs and a plugin/release like this to help to quickly connect to the strongest healthiest signal would be helpfull.

You have such a tool allready : WZC, or your cards included Connection Manager. WZC shows an indicator for signal level for the detected AP's and your cards included CM probably also does that.

NetStumbler and MiniStumbler has never been, was never intended to be, and will never be a Connection Manager. They are auditing tools, written by Marius for his own needs, and then released to the public for others to use for the same purposes.

And IMHO if you are a admin of a large network, who are to lazy to either stop NetStumbler in order to connect to an accesspoint, or to stupid to figure out what the program is meant for, then you are already way in over your head in your current position.

Actually a large portion of us are admin's of large networks and I don't think there's a single one of us that has ever considered that we needed NS to do what you asked for.

For options to include [in the mostlikely never coming next version] just look at kisMAC. This tool is sooo much more mature then Netstumbler.

Netstumbler was fun, when it was released, it is fun for a first attempt for Wlan newbies but for todays demands it lacks more then it gives.

+ Editable Vendor file
+ Option for "quite mod"[listen only]
+ Channel selection
