Those of us that are serious Wardrivers don't use NetStumbler to begin with, or Windows.

It's not a waste - with us it is more of a sport! i just spent two days at Microsoft's campus in Redmond. Some great presentations but zero on wireless, unless you are talking Windows Mobile.

Unlike Barry, I have no choice but to use Windows. It's a corporate thing.

At least I got some free and inexpensive software to update some of the VM's at home.

Actually about 5 years ago, I was a Compaq iPaq user. I found this cool program called Ministumbler. The rest is history.

First post.... attempting to not n00b my self to the back of the line.

I have one of the Crystalfontz 634 USB LCD's. After searching the script archive I found one for vbs to the LCD. Problem is, I bought the LCD before I did my proper research. The VBS script requires you to use the acomport.dll. The only legit way to get it requires you to pay $150.00 for the use of the dll. OUCH!

So I would like to see Network Stumbler support the new Microsoft Powershell. It allows you to call comports directly without having to pay for a $$$.dll.

It already does support the MS Powershell. NS will run any scripting engine installed on the same PC as NS. That included, VBS, PHP, Perl, and even Powershell.

Back to the end of the line noob.

If you look at the Master script, you'll see that the newest version has support for LCD Smartie that was inspired by the aforementioned script. No need to use acomport.dll (although I think I found a similar substitute when I was trying to implement this), and LCD Smartie is way more flexible.

- Fully view about encryption (WEP, WPA (TKIP / AES), WPA2)

- estimated value for meter/metre (for example more dB signal = less m)
