Has intersil been contacted?
Intesil does have the info availible... BUT it is at an extremely expensive price structure for a "one man shop" writing an app to interface with their drivers...

if they are able to allow the programmers for netstumbler have the required info, they would be generating quite a bit of demand for cards based on their chipsets.....

I have all the info I need (free!) and am working on it. Right now I don't have a suitable card to test against.

The $50k that I didn't pay would have got me far more than I actually need.

Hmm... Where are you? If you're ever in the Seattle area I have a D-Link I could loan you, although it's currently going to be used for some long-haul linking. (hacked extern. connector of course) Maybe you should have some way of 'registering' NS, maybe $5 a copy or so, that'd pay for a cheap Prism card...
