Please tell me you are not thinking about hopping on someone else's WIFI illegally? My flame thrower is in the shop being cleaned.

A user comes to a forum and does not know why his program doesn't see WPA. 2 men are at the forum. 1 of them always tells the truth, and the other one always lies. He may ask the men on question to find his way.

No you may not have a hint, clue, lead, etc. Offhand why do you need to know if they are running WPA or WEP? Granted WEP is not as secure as WPA but better than nothing. Give us a reason why you are wanting this information?

Alright. I am using W2K which some of you may know doesn't have a wireless connection utility like XP. I remembered NS (I last had it in '05) had something of the sort, ofc now I see it doesn't let me connect so I'm back where I started. After launching it I saw it called my connection WEP encrypted which I found odd. If it was NS side I don't really gaf because I can't use it anyway, but if W2K side then I have a problem; I need to get it to recognize WPA. WEP is virtually unencrypted in 2008, so yea I'd like to use WPA. Anyway, I believe it is, in fact, W2K side. kthxbai

Short Answer: Any encryption that NS finds comes up a WEP. I don't know the exact reason for it but it does. NS is for Stumbling. Nothing more. In fact, most Wardrives wouldn't care what encryption was in use. If they did, they would use Kismet etc...
