Two things I've noticed with pc card support in windows:
1.) Windows 95's PCMCIA support package is kind of lame. Try updating the manufacturer system drivers for the PCMCIA host controller, or, try updating to 95C, or even 98. I've found that this solves a lot of problems running any kind of pc card. 2.) Some laptops use a power management feature through the PCMCIA system that is automatically enabled by the manufacturer. I've heard that if Lucent cards do not get enough juice, they will disable certain hardware functions to prevent damage to the card. Make sure that the PCMCIA is fully enabled through the power management in windows and through the bios.
