RSSI signal strength question
Hi All,
I'm getting an RSSI signal strength of between 15 and 20 (60 is max) between my half mile link. Does this RSSI value relate to speed of the connection at all? Is this the strength of the signal at full speed or is strength not related to transmission speed? Thanks Jac |

RSSI
Received Signal Strength Indication. A measurement of the strength (not necessarily quality) of the received signal, in arbitrary units. RSSI often appears on a scale from 0 to 100. ...This is a cut and paste from Help > Help Topics. I have a question that I hope you can answer: Where can I find the RSSI? I don't see it in Netstumbler. Do you think that it's due to the network card I'm using? I am using a Linksys Wireless-G. Thanks |
