Exclamation Running net stumbler on 8mb ram

Hey guys, I have an old laptop-I think its a pentium 133 toshiba. It only has 8mb of ram. A ram upgrade is going to break me like 45 bucks (dream on )... I have got the OS way simplified and done every trick to make it run better.

So I wanted to know has anyone ran stumbler on windows 95 with only 8mb or ram?

I have my card/antenna on the way so I guess ill find out sooner or later.

With Windows 95/98 the cards you can use are very limited in choice. I am bidding on an old mini tablet PC with Win98 that I am fingering out what card i need as we speak.

ANY windows 9X (including ME) version will require a Hermes (Orinoco) based card...

I've run it on a P1-100 with 16MB under Win95. Windows95 will run on 4MB, although it's S L O W, so you might get NS to run on that rig. As previously stated, a Hermes-based card (read: ORiNOCO) is the only card that will work with NS on a Win9x platform.

Thanks Waldo, I figured out that I want the Orinoco Classic Gold. I am figuring out a fair price now, EBay seems to have lots of them in the 40-50 range.

Sorry for the slight HiJack.
