SSID names

Hello

I have had some problems opening ns1 files. As it was sugested in some threads I studied the files in hex viewer. I think that my problem is that some wireless areas have estonian language specific characters in their names (like õ ä ö ü). Maybe some pro can look at the file and confirm that I am not wrong. What would be the best solution in that case?
I put the file there:
http://layer8.estpak.ee/~jjanno/wifi/20051126.ns1

thnx,
jJanno

But I got over my problem. Divided original ns1 file into parts by changeing ApCount filed to see, when file opened. There was some errors with 1 station. Characters õ ä ö ü were OK :)

Thnx anyway

Here's a quick tip for you in the future. Before you close your Netstumbler or your NS1 file do a quick scan down through the SSID's looking for anything odd. If you see an SSID that contains illegal characters, just delete it from your list.

After that, export it to Summary format (filename.txt) as well as save it as an NS1.

If you have problems re-opening the NS1 file then rename your summary (filename.txt) to a NS1 file (Filename.NS1) and re-open it in NS.

Did you perform a liveupdate of my program after you downloaded? I just ran it with version 0.6.9 and it opened and saved the to ns1 (File > Save as ns1) without a problem and the resulting file (20051126_Recovered.ns1) was opened by Netstumbler without any problems.

Looking into an issue with KML it doesn't like the character õ and perhaps others. Even when enclosed by the
Koduvõrk
structure.
