The aircrack capture format
Can someone point me to documentation for the format of the .pcap files used by aircrack? So that I could write some software that output this format.
I'm having trouble creating a capture file that is acceptable for aircrack. I'm using WinXP SP2 and I have Prism based PCMCIA and USB adapters. Unforunately (for me) I don't have any Prism2/2.5 based PCMCIA cards, so I can't use Airodump. I have drivers that encapsulate .11 packets, so I can use Ethereal in the same way that Linux users do, but this still isn't working for me. After some trial and error I found that I needed to save my Ethereal data in the Red Hat pcap format. But airocrack still complains to me about 'unsupported header linktype 1'. This means that it thinks the file contains ethernet (vs. dot11) packets, but this isn't true. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks, Qwavel |
