Airodump
Hi. I'm trying to crack the WEP key on my personal wireless network using Aircrack. But first I am attempting to gather the neccessary traffic. I am using airodump on a Toshiba PC4000 Laptop with XP and a Toshiba wiress LAN mini PCI card. Can someone please guide me in the right direction on the syntax to use in Airodump.
I have updated the driver to the latest available 7.82. I'm pretty sure it's supported... Any help would be gladly appreciated. See attached .gif files for more information. Thanks. PS. In the command file I am using >airodump not airdump. I'm not sure if the rest of it is correct.... |

Thanks for the help.
I have two more questions for you. 1. I've captured over 68,328 packets using airodump. When I dragged my .pcap file over aircrack.exe and chose to read the IV's, aircrack reported that none of the packets are usable. How come? 2. Can someone please tell me why I would have problems with peek.dll Thank you in advance. ![]() Last edited by philliptempleto : 03-24-2005 at 09:21 PM. |

I think peek.dll is looking for a serious relationship and you are having a hard time committing. That's just my read on the situation... ![]() |

Instead of doing a drag and drop open up air Crack and chose Option 1. It will ask you the name of the pcap file. Be sure to type it as 'filename.cap' without the quotes and then hit 'enter'. It should then find the file and show you the number of unique IV's you have. Then choose option '0' for it to start the cracking process. If you have any problems let me know... I think we have the same type of computer and I'm intrested to find out if you have any success with this.
I'm using a Toshiba Protege 4000 with WinXP. |
